WE ARE STILL HERE FOR YOU

We are holding lots of appointments via telephone and video. If you have symptoms that are concerning you and you can’t explain, contact us for advice.

This includes symptoms that are unexplained and persistent, such as

  • Lumps
  • Weight loss
  • Blood in you poo or pee
  • A change of bowel habit
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Unexplained pain
  • Coughs that have lasted over 3 weeks, especially if you have ever smoked.

These can occasionally be symptoms of cancer and it is important to discuss them with your GP.

NOVEL CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

NHS 111 has an online coronavirus service https://111.nhs.uk/covid-19 that can tell you if you need medical help and advise you what to do.

Any person who develops a cough or high temperature (of 37.8 degrees or higher) should stay at home (self-isolate) for 7 days.

If symptoms are serious and you cannot manage at home please use the NHS 111 online service. Only telephone NHS 111 if you cannot get online.

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

YOUR GP WILL THEN DECIDE IF YOU NEED A TELEPHONE CONSULTATION OR A FACE TO FACE CONSULTATION. THIS DECISION HAS NOT BEEN TAKEN LIGHTLY AND WE APOLOGISE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE. OUR MAIN ENTRANCE WILL BE CLOSED, REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS CAN BE POSTED THROUGH THE LETTER BOX.
